چکیده
This study was carried out to evaluate the management of Myzus persicae (Sulzer) (Hemiptera: Aphididae) which infesting strawberry plants Fragaria ananassa (L.) by releasing different levels seven spotted lady beetle, Coccinella septempunctata L. (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae). under glasshouse conditions at two locations (Governorates), Nobariya (Behera governorate) and Perkash (Giza during season 2019/2020. The C. released for one time beginning February on strawberryplants rates 30, 60 90 eggs/plant. In first level release (30 eggs/plant), Behera Governorate reduction percentages in population M. increased gradually whereas it 21.0, 31.0, 41.0, 44.0 50.0% mid-February, first-March, mid-March, first-April mid-April, respectively. same trend achieved Giza Governorate. Also, second (60 27.0, 33.0, 44.0, 48.0 55.0% Lastly, third (90 29.0, 37.0, 49.0 52.0% addition,

Myzus persicae Sulzer aphid contains oxylipins that
Oxylipins are oxygenated fatty acids and their derivatives that play key roles in response to stress. They are widespread in many organisms including mammals or plants but are unknown in arthropods. In this study, we identified oxylipins in Myzys persicae Sulzer aphids reared on Vicia faba L. plants. Further experiments based on: (i) Radiolabelled substrate incubation with aphid extracts, and (...
متن کاملRepellency and toxicity of three Impatiens species (Balsaminaceae) extracts on Myzus persicae Sulzer (Homoptera: Aphididae)
The extracts of Impatiens noli-tangere, I. parviflora and I. glandulifera (Balsaminaceae) were evaluated for their effect on green peach aphid (Myzus perssicae), an important insect pest of many plants. All the extracts showed insecticidal and repellent activity. After 54 h of exposure, the most active extract was Impatiens parviflora with 99.7 and 90.0 % mortality at 0.5 and 0.1 % concentratio...
متن کاملResponse of Myzus Persicae (sulzer) to Imidacloprid and Thiamethoxam on Susceptible and Resistant Potato Varieties
Among insect pests the Green peach aphid Myzus persicae (Sulzer) is one of the most damaging virulent insect to potato crop. Research experiment was conducted at Research Farm of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Agricultural University Peshawar, Pakistan during spring 2008 to test two insecticides against Myzus persicae on two potato varieties viz Kuroda and Desiree. The results revealed that both the insect...
متن کاملRelationship between amount of esterase and gene copy number in insecticide-resistant Myzus persicae (Sulzer).
Overproduction of the insecticide-degrading esterases, E4 and FE4, in peach-potato aphids, Myzus persicae (Sulzer), depends on both gene amplification and transcriptional control, the latter being associated with changes in DNA methylation. The structure and function of the aphid esterase genes have been studied but the determination of their copy number has proved difficult, a common problem w...
متن کاملCage and field assessments of Beauveria bassiana-based Mycoinsecticides for Myzus persicae Sulzer (Hemiptera: Aphididae) control in cabbage.
The efficiency of formulated Beauveria bassiana-based mycoinsecticides to control Myzus persicae (Sulzer) in cabbage was assessed under field conditions. Aqueous conidial suspensions (0.01% Tween 80 + 0.01% v/v Agral) of three fungal isolates were sprayed twice at different dates, each with 2.0 x 10(9) viable conidia per potted plant using screened cages. The number of nymphs and adults of M. p...
